Crosstalk on Printed Circuit Boards
نویسنده
چکیده
This document treats the crosstalk between parallel conductors. The conductors can represent either conductors in a multiconductor cable or traces on a printed circuit board (PCB). An analysis method based on a lumped circuit equivalent for the problem as well as a method to calculate the per unit length parameters are presented. The computed results are validated by comparison with measurements as well as an exact solution of the multiconductor transmission line equations. Several PCB-layouts are analysed to demonstrate how the crosstalk on a PCB can be minimised.

A Novel Metamaterial Structure to Reduce Far-End Crosstalk in Printed Circuit Boards
Far-End crosstalk is a common problem in a printed circuit boards when two transmission lines are in close proximity. This paper proposes a newly designed method to reduce the far-end crosstalk using metamaterials as a complementary split ring resonator (CSRRs). The CSRRs are etched in the ground plane and are used to control the radiated electromagnetic fileds. Comparative analyses are taken f...
متن کاملEqualizing Filter Design for Crosstalk Cancellation
As interconnect line width and spacing decreases and operating clock rate increases, interconnect has become a bottleneck in developing high-speed integrated circuits, multichip modules, printed circuit boards, and systems. With small line spacing, mutual capacitance and inductance approach the level of self-capacitance and inductance, and can severely degrade signal integrity. The well-known e...

Due to the high frequencies of analog and/or digital signals and a high package density on Printed Circuit Boards (PCB), problems occur concerning re-ection, crosstalk, radiation, and irradiation. New design methods have to consider the analysis of the expected radiation behaviour already during the design{phases of a PCB. If violations of the legal requirements (FCC, CISPR, VDE 0871{B, etc.) c...

It is predicted that the increase in microprocessor clock frequency will create bandwidth limitations for copper interconnects on Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) due to signal attenuation, Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and crosstalk [1]. Optical interconnects could be a viable solution to these problems. This paper explores the potential and challenges for optical interconnects in UltraShort-...
